FAMILY RESEARCH TOUR TO GERMANY, SEPTEMBER 2009

A tour to Germany to visit archives, museums and historical sites of relevance to family researchers is being planned for September 2009. The tour will last for approximately 14 days and the tour programme will be determined by the research interests of tour participants. The focus of the tour will be on family history research. Sight-seeing visits for partners not involved in family research will be arranged wherever possible.

The tour presents an ideal opportunity for researchers who have links to families in Germany to join with others with similar interests and to visit the country without themselves having to make the necessary tour arrangements.

The tour is being organised by the Northern Transvaal Branch of the Genealogical Society of South Africa. Those interested should please contact Ellen Harmse at 072 594 9050 or eharmse@mweb.co.za as soon as possible and not later than 31 October 2008.
